No poetry today, well not from me, anyway. But I invite you to listen to this song from one of my favorite artists. I couldn’t find the original version anywhere, but this acoustic version is just as good.
I’m going to play this someday. I gave up on the guitar many years ago, but I still have one. Two actually. I know which one I’ll be using to play this. Hold me to it.

Oh good grief! Is this what it has come to??? Did I really write this???
This is the result of watching an MSNBC documentary, reading a book on poetic form, digesting a little Shakespeare, and mixing in a bit of melancholic obsession with the fall. (At least that’s what I’m going to tell The Bard when he haunts me in my dreams for sacrilege.) I’m also going to blame Linda Cassidy Lewis for commenting that “October rages.” (jk, Linda
)
My husband hates this poem. I’ll consider that a compliment given his eternally optimistic disposition.
*with my apologies to The Bard

The other day Azfree wrote a poem about bubbles, which happens to be one of my favorite words. Of course this started an obsessive thought train that leads me to this post. What are your favorite words, and why? I have always loved:
Bubble
Lollipop
Soliloquy
There are more but these are the words that pop (pun intended) into my head. I just love the way they roll off my tongue. Especially soliloquy. Say it slow. Isn’t it lovely??? Bubble sounds like a good joke. And lollipop is just plain fun to say.
So how about you?
Just thought I’d pass this link along…hee hee hee
